Course objectives

WHO’s global hepatitis strategy, endorsed by all WHO Member States, aims to reduce new hepatitis infections by 90% and deaths by 65% between 2016 and 2030. This goal has led to an increased focus on research related to viral hepatitis. The aim of this course is to inform par ticipants about the latest developments and opportunities. In this course, we aim to update the participants concerning major hepatitis viruses (Hepatitis virus A-E) as well as recently emerged viral agents including SARS-CoV-2, herpesviruses and Adeno-associated virus. As ESGVH we are excited to host an onsite education course for the first time in 3 years. We hope this meeting will revive onsite discussion and collaboration opportunities between the participants and the faculty member.
